Clobetasol propionate
Indications/Uses
For short-term treatment of inflammatory & pruritic manifestations of moderate to severe corticosteroid-responsive dermatoses.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Apply sparingly to affected areas once daily or bd.
Contraindications
Rosacea, acne vulgaris, perioral dermatitis, primary cutaneous viral infections. Primary infected skin lesions caused by infection w/ fungi or bacteria, perianal & genital pruritus.
Special Precautions
Pregnancy & lactation. Paed. Avoid extensive or prolonged use.
Adverse Reactions
Burning, itching, irritation, dryness, folliculitis, hypertrichosis, acneiform eruptions, hypopigmentation, maceration of the skin, secondary infection, skin atrophy, striae & miliaria. Hyperactivity of the adrenal cortex.
